itunes

Well, I just started the process of getting my music on itunes. There’s a cool 3rd party company called TuneCore that will distribute your music on pretty much any online music store. They said 8-10 weeks to process but I’m optimistic!  I’ll post as soon as I find out anything.

Pics from the Studio

Here’s some pics from the studio. I’ve been recording at East Hall Recording Studio in Fayetteville, Ar. It’s got a great feel and the engineer, Chris Moore is great to work with. A big part of being in the studio is being able to relax and be yourself. Chris and East Hall makes that happen. Click on the pic and you can see some descriptions.

NLR Theme Song Project

I’ve been working on, for lack of a better title, a greatest hits album of summer theme songs that I’ve written for New Life Ranch. This summer marks my 8th. So far, we’ve tracked the drums, bass, and rhythm guitar for 5 of the songs(I Want to Know Christ ‘01, Setting the Curve ‘02, Free to Fly ‘03, Wide Open ‘04, Take Me Over ‘05). Two of the songs are complete (Consume Me ‘07, Let Love ‘08)). So that leaves one (Christ in Me ‘06) to start on. I was really hoping to have this thing out this summer to go along with our 50th celebration but I just couldn’t get ahead on it. So the plan now is to keep working on it throughout this coming year and release it summer ‘09. It’s been fun so far to relearn these songs and play with some great musicians. I think I’ve put in around 100 hours into this thing so fa, not including writing, so it has been a big project.  And if you didn’t hear, I’ve put together a band to perform many of these songs at the 50th celebration on August 2nd, 2008. We will also perform many of Chris King’s theme songs as well which is cool because I got to play on his theme album called The Plain Whitebread Album. That’s it for now…
